Sacred Travel…Reflections of Self [California dreaming, part 2…Mount Shasta]

The road is a place of contemplation for me, in which I experience myself from outside the box of everyday reality.  Traveling brings me closer to the essence of ‘I am’, stripped raw of the trappings of comfort and routine.  In many ways travel is essential to my being, as I count on it for deeper understanding of self.  My ancestors were Travelers, Gypsies of the Irish kind…Tinkers, and Pikeys, they spent their lives traveling from one place to another in fancy wagon houses, selling their wares.

I often think about my great-great grandfather; who traveled from Ireland to the United States, leaving his wagon behind for a little house in the hills of Vermont.  I think of him, when I am traveling about the back roads, and highways, of my home and abroad.  I feel a kinship to him, and his kin, a feeling of likeness.  Although, I have lived in the same house for almost 20 years (my husbands doing), I need to go, be and explore, in order to feel whole.  Some of these travels are close by, and some are not.  But no matter the distance, I rely on the travel to show me who I am, and where I am going.

My trip to California was like most of my travels, a spiritual thing.  This journey was different then others in the fact that myself and my fellow travelers agreed that we would be open & guided by Spirit.  We did not allow for wrong turns to enter our mind space.  This did not mean we were never off the planned course, it simply meant a decision was made, that whatever direction we were taken was the right one.  There is something absolutely freeing about such travel, for one it means you avoid the whole pissed off, I’m late mentality.

We decided in the air, flying into L.A., that we would be heading North to Mount Shasta (10.5 hours north), something I do not regret in the least.  As we had arrived in Shasta when I last blogged, it is where I shall pick up.

Mount Shasta

Mount Shasta (Úytaahkoo or “White Mountain) is a well known Sacred destination.  At an elevation of 14,179 feet, it is an ear-popping drive through a mountain path of deep green.  I was in awe!  The terrain of the mountain path reminded me of the Lord of the Rings, it was magnificent and daunting at the same time, moving me both emotionally, and spiritually.  Driving up the winding mountain road, I knew that I was connecting with something powerful and not completely explainable.  Known for it’s powerful vortexes (spiraling Earth energy centers), and the lava flowing deep in it’s core, it is a force to be acknowledged.

The seclusion, lack of people, and energetic feel of lava running below the surface, were reminiscent of Iceland.  There was something primal about the place, as if the elements were somehow more alive, their presence making up for the lack of human energy.  I love such places!  I love how they expand my consciousness, demanding that I use all of my senses to properly see my surroundings.

We stayed in Shasta for 2 nights, not a whole lot of time, but long enough to know that I will go back someday in the near future.  Our home for the stay was a 1970’s style chalet-style Motel, called the Alpine Lodge.  It was a cute mini-apartment with 3 queen beds and a kitchenette.  the yellow and orange interior was highlighted by a wall mural of trees, which made myself and my traveling companions instantly fall in love.  We love the odd & unusual, and the fact that there was a fantastic coffee shop just across the street, capable of satiating my love of espresso.

On our first night in Shasta we decided we should introduce ourselves to the Spirits of the Place, and did so by journeying in our minds through drumming and vocal toning.  This was a powerful experience for us all, and we found ourselves connecting  individually to different aspects of the mountain.  My sister Sandy found herself within the hollow spaces of the mountain, deep inside one of the caves that open within the mountains peak.  She found herself remembering her previous journey there, almost 10 years ago.  My friend Missy found herself connecting to something that would not make sense until the following day, and I connected to energetic beings made of light.

Now, I understand the idea of ‘light beings’ may make some people feel uncomfortable, and send their mind searching for the safe bounds of known reality. Some may even begin questioning whether the person telling the story is sane,  or has suddenly drank the conspiracy theory Kool-aid.  But once again, I will remind you that you are reading the blog of a person who makes their living talking to the Dead, and frequently goes on about their experiences with Nature Spirits.  In the telling of this tale, I am as always deeply centered in my reality.

Connecting with extra-terrestrial/extra-dimensional beings is not an uncommon conversation, when discussing Mount Shasta.  Look it up on line, and you will find many, many, many tales of encounters with such beings.  The other thing you will find is stories of Big Foot, and unexplained beings in the woods.  You may want to believe that all of the people telling the tales are a bit looney, but then again, you may want to ask yourself whether you truly believe we are the only sentient beings in the Universe.

My experience as I said, is my reality, and I experienced a channeling with multiple (I believe 3) light beings.  This was something I did aloud, similarly to how I speak with the Spirits of the Dead.  My sister Sandy asked most of the questions, as I worked as translator for those choosing to make contact with us.  The message we received was around the importance of sound and light, in particularly when it came to healing the planet and land.  Now they were not suggesting that we just say fuck it, and be gluttonous pigs,  wasting precious resources, without a care in the world, because hey all we need to do is sing and spread some light around.  They were instead speaking of how sound, in particular, effects the living world.  This was something I immediately felt as truth, as I have been working as a Sound Healer for the last 15 years, and spend a whole lot of time singing the sacred songs of place.

They spoke of how they, like the beings of Nature were deeply concerned for our world and species in this time of great transition, how we needed to become more aware of the living world around us, and step fully into the sacredness of life.  The visitation was brief, lasting about 20 minutes, but in that time, I felt as if I had received a lot of information in a short period of time, like a computer downloading files, and that it would be quite some time, before I had fully acclimated the knowledge they shared.

The next day when we woke, it was obvious that Missy was not completely balanced.  Sandy and I noticed that she was off, when she came stumbling out of the bedroom, grunting and grumbling like a bear just out of hibernation.  We asked if she was OK, and she explained that she was not sure what was going on, but felt like she had been connecting to something all night long.

Just after doing some sound healing @ the Crystal Matrix shop in Shasta.

That morning after breakfast we headed into town, to check out a Crystal shop that had caught Sandy and Missy’s eye the night before, when they had gone searching for groceries.  The shop ‘The Crystal Matrix Gallery’ was filled with wonders, as it quickly became apparent that most of the crystals were awake, and many of them seemed to be sentient, or carrying a connection to other beings.  The shop owner had worked with Crystals for over 30 years, and was clearly making a living selling crystals because he had to, it was his life’s work.  By that I mean, he felt a love for the Crystals and the beings connected to them, he was a steward of the rock people, a keeper and handler of the mineral kind.

The Dragonstone

Within moments of being in the store, the first crystal of our journey had been found.  A double terminated amber colored, smokey quartz, with a whole lot of activity going on inside of it.  It was a powerful piece, and we all felt it was connected to the Earth Healing work we had been called to California to do.  The second piece was more personal, and explained the odd behavior and imbalance Missy had been displaying all morning.  It was a dark opaque stone, that fit comfortably in ones palm.  It was covered in markings that looked like ancient writing, only the markings had not been made by man.  The stone appeared to be a form of tektite (molten debris from meteorites), but there was definitely a presence connected to it.  It was said to be the thymus gland of a dragon.  Now here again, I know this sounds woo-woo, and hokey, but whether you believe it was the actual gland of a being, or simply a stone, it held tremendous presence, and a hefty price tag.

My view on Dragons goes the same way as as all otherworldly beings.  There is something at the base of all the folk lore, it may not be as grand or magical as the stories have portrayed it, but life seldom is.  The other piece I would add here, is the mummified dinosaur found in Canada, pretty much in tact, certainly does resemble our fictitious imagery of dragons.  http://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2017/06/dinosaur-nodosaur-fossil-discovery/

What was most remarkable was the way in which Missy and the stone connected to one another.  The spirit residing in the stone, and Missy’s aura both extended outward, as if reaching for one another.  No matter the price tag, it was obvious she would not be leaving the store without the stone.

We left the store, with both the amber-colored, smokey quartz, and the dragon stone, as well as a few smaller stones I felt compelled to purchase.  I was amazed at how many of the stones in this particular shop were connected to beings.  This does not mean the beings were trapped in the stones, simply that the stones were an access point for connection.  I have a handful of sentient stones in my possession, some of them holding the essence of the stone itself, and some holding connection to other beings; working like a walky-talky to the other world.

After our experience with the stones in the Crystal Matrix, we headed out for a day trip to Paradise, CA to visit our father’s best friend.  This was not an option, this was something my Dad had been actively working on, the entire trip so far.  It was important, as we had not had a chance to connect with Mark, since my fathers passing 4 years ago.  It was a healing time for him and us, as we spent the day reminsicing; telling stories of the wild and crazy antics of my father & his best friend/soul mate Mark.

The trip to Paradise was not particularly remarkable in a spiritual way, but the trip back most certainly was.  After leaving Marks home, and heading back to Shasta I noticed a Sun Dog in the sky.  A Sun Dog is an atmospheric phenomenon that consists of a bright spot to the left and/or right of the Sun.  Sun Dogs are rare, and most often you see only bright spot, either to the left or right of the sun.  I have seen them before, and know that symbolically they are a sign that big change is near.  It is seen as a blessing or a sign that luck is with you in such times.  The Sun Dog we saw coming back from Paradise was remarkable in more than one way.  Firstly, it was a complete circle around the sun, with bright sun spots to the left, right, and above the sun, and a rainbow outline encompassing it.  Secondly, it was remarkable in the amount of time that it lasted.  We watched, filmed, and photographed the Sun Dog for 53 minutes.  It was breath taking, and energetically one could not help but feel as if we were being charged by it.  The experience was so phenomenal that we were soon pulling out our crystals; particularly the amber-colored, smokey quartz that had already made it obvious to us, that it was solar powered.

We arrived home (at the Alpine Lodge) late that evening, feeling as if we had been through some kind of attunement.  Both to the Crystals we had purchased, and the Sun Dog in the sky.  We remarked at the other amazing things we had seen on our way back to Shasta; such as the strange cloud formations over the mountain itself.

The next day we began our day, at the same coffee shop (Seven Sun’s Cafe), and then headed back to the Crystal Matrix for some Sound Healing.  We knew we needed to do sound work in Shasta, and also knew it would happen in multiple places.  The first; the crystal shop, was truly amazing.  The owner had an ancient singing bowl, that had been attuned to the energy of Sekemet (an Egyptian Goddess), and I was eager to combine my voice with its.  The toning there was amazing, as we were surrounded by high-energy crystals, at the base of the summit to Mount Shasta.  This experience was only the first of 3 major sound spots that day.

Water blessings for the new stones…lots of water Spirits in the headwaters of the Sacremento.

Annointing my third-eye, with the water of the Sacramento Headwaters.

The second stop, was the headwaters of the Upper Sacremento River, where the Undines (water Spirits) are remarkably present.  I sang to them, as I submerged stone after stone, into the icy waters.  The headwaters come from deep within Mount Shasta itself, each drop charged by the volcanic and vortex energy of the place.  The crystal clear water, travels from the glacial peaks, through underground lava tubes, before exiting into the light of day. The location of  headwaters is easily accessed, as it is part of a city park, that anyone can go to without charge.

The third stop, was the mountain itself.  We drove our car as far up the mountain road as we could…which was still quite a ways from the summit.  We stopped when the snow prohibited us from traveling any further, the road blocked by over 6 feet of snow.   At this point we turned around, and headed back a short distance; away from the crazy hikers/climbers, where we could sit with the silence of the mountain and sing the soul song of the land.

80 degrees, and 6 feet of snow, this is roads end for Mount Shasta until mid summer.

Elevation 6950′, as high as we could go in our sandals and flip flops.

This last stop, the one nearly to the top of the mountain, was humbling and awe inspiring.  When you sing the song of the land, you are not simply harmonizing…you are connecting/channeling the voice of the land itself, the Spirit of Place/Genius Locus, reverberates through you, filling you with the essence that is the place.  Mount Shasta is a powerful healer, one that I know will call me back, again & again; like Glastonbury Tor, and the Western Shores of Ireland, it holds a connection to my being.  In our brief meeting, we became family.  The Spirit of Place that is Shasta, is kindred to me…we belong!

I hope you enjoyed the read, that it pushed on the corners of your personal reality, and made you think on the world differently.  We are living in changing times, and many of the things we believed impossible are now proving us wrong.  I do not claim to know the secrets of the Universe, but I do believe there are wonders yet to be experienced in the greater world and in our own back yards.  When we approach the planet as a sentient being, and give ourselves over to the unknown, we expand our consciousness and become more.  Travel for me is a vessel of such change, but the magic of travel can come onto you whether you have traveled thousands of miles, or only a few blocks.

STORIES OF SPIRIT…Crying on the Couch

Owenegaut, the cave of the Morrigan.

Owenegaut, the cave of the Morrigan.

I sat on my couch in the early hours of the morning, and cried.  I cried for the state of our nation, I cried for the lies that are spoken, I cried for the hate mongering and xenophobia.  I cried for the Muslims, and I cried for the under-employed youth of our nation.  I cried for my friends who are Queer.  I cried for Black Mothers who fear for the lives of their children, and the Native American who fight for their lands.  I cried for the water in Flint Michigan, and all the waters of the world.  I cried for the living, and I cried for the dead.  I cried for those who have no dreams in sight, and for those whose dreams have been washed away in a haze of disdain.

I cried for the world, and the world cried with me.

There is a heaviness to our world right now, and many of us feel overwhelmed by the weigh of it.  We are emotionally exhausted, and many are living in a low level state of fear; wondering what is to come next, how far will this craziness go.  We know that the outside world is looking at our country like we have gone completely bat-shit crazy.  We keep hoping that we will wake up and this will all be a nightmare, and we can go back to life as normal.

Well we cannot go back to life as normal, nor could we stay in the sedated place of non-action we have existed in for the last few decades.  There is a sickness in our nation, and often as it is will illness, it must get worse before it gets better.  Like a body fighting off a virus we must rise to the occasion, utilize our antibodies and take action against that which is causing us harm.  This sickness is not something that came out of no where.  It has been there for a very long time, under the surface, running us down.  It was inevitable that we would come to a moment in time such as this, for a people who feel hopeless will often make rash decisions, and often those decisions will lead to crisis.

We are in a time of crisis.  But crisis is not all bad.  Crisis sheds light on that which we have kept festering in the dark.  Crisis brings opportunity.  Crisis demands action, pushing us off our fat rumps.  Crisis gathers our neighbors, friends, and community to our side.  It bolsters us, and melds us into a force of unity.

When a natural disaster hits an area, people come out in the masses, neighbor stands by neighbor, lending a hand where needed, getting the job done, without the regular bullshit of “I have things to do”.  There is nothing more important at that moment then the crisis at hand.

We are living in such times.  For some of us the storm has not hit close enough for us to get excited yet, to prepare ourselves for action.  But it is only a matter of time, before even the sheltered hermits among us, must descend from the forest to see what the fuck is going on.  Such times are meant for community to stand together, to unite as a force bigger then any one man or woman ever could be.

I do not ask you who you voted for, I do not ask you to march or to protest.  I ask you to consider your life, and the life of your neighbor, and your community, and to ask yourself “What do I stand for?”  I ask you to come together with your neighbors, and friends, and to start a discussion on that.  “How do we stay strong together in these times of struggle”.   “Will I wait until they are coming for someone I know?”  “Will I hide my head in the sand and say nothing, do nothing, while the country I love becomes less?”

I believe in America!  I believe in the people of America.  We are a nation that has been made stronger because we are a melting pot.  We are a like a good mutt, stronger and smarter for the mixing of our bloodlines.

My Ancestors knew persecution.  My great grandmother had to hide her Native blood as a child, for fear of being taken away to an Indian school.  My Irish relatives from my fathers side were Traveling People, or Gypsies.  They knew what it was like to be scorned and discriminated against.  I myself am a Psychic and a Witch.  We all know how I would have been treated a few centuries ago.

I am sure that each of us has a family story in which our Ancestors experienced persecution for one thing or another, from their nationality of origin, color of their skin, religion, sexual preference or simply their economic status.  If we take a moment to sit with ourselves, and connect with our Ancestors, we will see that this fight for equality, and justice is something that is personal to each and every one of us.  “There but for the grace of God, goes I”.

The first step to overcoming this calamity, that has beset our nation is to stop letting FEAR run the show.  Fear is the soul eater, it causes us to run scared, bury our heads in the sand, shove Ring-dings into our mouth, drink too much and pace endlessly in the loop of our mind.  It has no value, other then to let us know that something is not right.  It is an alarm, and like all alarms, once they have alerted us to the situation their job is done.

DO NOT FALL BACK ASLEEP!  Fear gave us the alarm, it alerted us to the fucked up situation that is around us.  Now we must take action, we must get moving, get organized, and come together.  I am not asking you to picket, I am not asking you to march.  I am asking you to become a supporter of your community.  It makes us feel good to help others, it takes our mind off of fear, and gives us purpose.  Look at the situation at hand and ask what you can do.  Whatever it is you choose to do, please, please, connect with your community.  This alone will help you to find your spot.

GET CENTERED…understand that mixed into this slurry of chaos is the fact that we are going through a Psychic Evolution.  We are changing as a species, becoming more attuned to the world around us.  We are becoming EMPATHIC as a people, developing the ability to sense the emotions of others.  This adds a lot to the mix, for it means that the fear, and anxiety we are feeling is not just ours.  It belongs to the guy sitting next to us on the bus, and the co-worker who is sucking down sugar like a feen; trying to feel something other then worry.  It belongs to our mother, our kids, our husband, and our friends.

Empathy is an interesting thing, for it works both ways.  Those of us, who are the most Empathic, are also the best at sending our emotions out.  In this way, the Empaths are broadcasting emotions out into the world.  The problem is most Empaths don’t know a thing about how to control it.  So we sit there absorbing the pain and suffering, and then we turn around and amplify those feelings, before sending them out like a wave around us.

What if we, the Empaths decided we were going to utilize this knowledge and choose what we were going to broadcast out?  What if we chose to send out Love instead of Hate, and Bravery instead of Fear.  After all they are simply opposite ends of a pendulum swing.

freyjalterJust for today, choose to be an ambassador of Love.  Whatever lands in your lap, whatever news you hear, whatever approach you take to the situations of your day, choose love.  Choose your words to support, and strengthen, not to degrade and breakdown.  Even when standing against apposing forces we can choose to do so with love.  We can choose to see that what we stand against is already broken, and that by embracing hate we are perpetuating that which we do not want.  Because hate destroys us from within.  It consumes us, torments us, and leaves us empty.  Love gives us hope, love supports us, strengthens us, and pushes us to be more.

Do not stick your head in the sand, stand bravely and with purpose, but do so with love and kindness.  Do not sink to the level of name calling and trash talking, that gets us no where.  Move with purpose, act with forethought, and find your center.  When we choose bravery and love, we are no longer victims, we are crusaders out to make a difference in whatever way we can.

Know that you do not walk alone in these hard times, our Ancestors are walking with us.  Not just our personal Ancestors, but the Ancestors of our country.  Those proud Americans who have fought for this country we call home.  I am proud to be an American, even if I am not proud of the state it is in at this moment.  I love this land, I love it’s people, I love my community, and my neighbors, and my sweet loving family.  I love you, and I believe in you.

Finding my words stops my tears, and my fears.  I too have moments when it feels overwhelming, and I want to go back to bed and wake up when it’s over.  But then I remember I was made for such times, I chose to come in at this moment and in this place.  So I will put on my mud boots, and get ready to clean some shit up.  I hope you decide to join me, I hope you decide to replace hate with love, and I hope you see just how powerful you are.

STORIES OF SPIRIT…Healing the Spirit of the United States [sending love to the Genius Locus]

winterwonderwomanI do not Hate!  I do not hate those who’s opinions differ from mine, nor do I hate the ‘Haters’ of the world, for hate is a self destructive energy.  To hate another I need to extend my energy in a hostile manner.  To hate I must spend my time focused on that which I do not want in my life.

This does not mean I turn a blind eye to the injustices of the world, it simply means that I will not approach them with malice and spite.  No venom drips from my teeth, and no insult gains way on my tongue.  When those feeling rise to the surface of my mind, I breathe deep and remember that even the shadow has it’s purpose.

I went to the Women’s March of Unity in Montpelier, VT yesterday dressed as a Vermont Wonder Woman; hats, sweaters, and practical boots included.  I did this because I felt it was important to stand for love, justice, and equality.  I also felt it was important to represent America in my actions.

I believe patriotism matters, and I believe in the spirit of Wonder Woman!

Wonder Woman represents ideals that I value, and has always been my favorite heroine.  She is strong, focused, and has great integrity.  She does not turn her eyes away from trouble, but faces it head on.  She carries herself with such balance, that she never mistakes justice for vengeance.  Nor is she unforgiving, and she is never mean.  Wonder Woman stands for justice, and believes in her country.

I believe patriotism matters…My father was a Vietnam Vet.  His service and dedication to his country, not only effected his life, but the lives of all he touched.  He was proud to be an American, even though the country he loved so much, showed him malice and hatred when he was most in need of comfort.  He faced his fellow Americans who thought him a baby killer, and he chose not to hate.  He did not Hate his country, he loved his country.  I will not say he never experienced anger, for he certainly did.  But he did not turn his back and hate the country he called home.

I was raised with a deep Patriotism.  One that carries with it an understanding that I will never have the same views as everyone in the country.  That we will disagree over and over, and over again.  But that these differences are not with my country itself.

As a Druid, I believe that all things have Spirit.  As a Psychic Medium, I am fortunate enough to communicate, see, and experience these spirits.  They are not exactly like the Spirits of the Dead, but they are real all the same.  Druids refer to the Spirit of Place as the Genius Locus.  It is the energy that encompasses a place, holding the essence of it’s being.  I remember this every time I stand in support.

I remember the Genius Locus of the United States.

When my father died he began pushing on me his strong Patriotic values, and he did this by utilizing my love of Wonder Woman.  He started with clothing.  He really loved wearing red, white & blue himself, and he wanted me to.  He would say this to me over and over again, and I finally gave in when he said “Wonder Woman loved red, white, and blue Sali”.  I added a bit of black, but I gave in.  He has been dead 4 years now, and my love of Wonder Woman clothes is still going strong.

It’s about more than a costume though.  I really believe we have to start supporting the Spirit of the United States, the Genius Locus of our country. We need to start sending love to the Spirit of America itself.  Not to their version of America, or our version of America, but to the Spirit of the country itself.  If we start sending love and healing to the Spirit of our country, perhaps what is best will naturally appear.

I do not say this in a sparkle, love & light, only good thoughts version of reality.  I say this with the strength and justice of Wonder Woman.  I mean really send out some healing love to the Spirit of our country.  Remind her that she was is growing, healing, and a creative force.  She can choose between love or hate.  Show her that we trust in her.  This is something we can do, no matter what side we believe we stand on.

We all want LOVE in our lives, safety, security, and justice.  We may have different ideas on how that is reached, but we all want it.  Growth requires trust, we need to trust in a higher power, and send as much love to the situation as we possibly can.

Genius Locus (the Spirit of place), is not limited to the country.  There are natural forces, and land spirits that watch over States, towns, waterways, and homes.

Often when people are struggling to sell their homes, they come to me asking for advice.  I always tell them to communicate with the Spirit of the house directly.  To tell the Genius Locus how much you have appreciated it, listing the wonderful ways your home has supported you.  Then to explain that you must move on, and ask the Spirit for help finding the right people for it.  You can explain what you would like to see for the house.

This technique is truly helpful.  After all we all sense the energy of buildings and spaces.  Take a minute to think about it, and you recognize that you feel good in some places, and uncomfortable in others.  This is due to the energy that the space holds.

smudge2The United States could use a great big smudging.  We need to take a day and collectively get out our Sage bundles and smudge the fuck out of our country.  Clean off the goobers of hate, anger, and dysfunction.  Then we need to set up some intentional altars to hold space for the United States, and send it some serious love.

If you look at it from the terms of Quantum Theory; which has proven thought matters, then we need to look at the fact that we are generating more hate, and discourse if we approach this with anything but love.

I marched in the Women’s march yesterday, and was over joyed to see all the signs that talked about love, and support.  I was not as happy to see the ones that preached hate at one man.  Not because I agree with him, but because hate is still a powerful force, and it is one that is counter productive to change.  How can be anything other then what we hate, if we are preaching hate?

How can we be more?

We can be more by standing for LOVE!  We can be more by talking about the things in our country we love, the things we want to see flourish.  I am not asking for people to put their heads in the sand.  I am simply asking that we open our hearts and speak on the things we love, as much as the things we hate.

Yesterday, I felt tremendous LOVE.  I felt that people were energetically linking arms and hearts, spreading out a gigantic web of goodness over the country, and the world.  We were saying that we all matter.  That was powerful, and good.  We just need to remember that when we let hate slip into the mix, we taint ourselves, and our work.  We need to remain focused on that which we are seeking…a safe, loving, supportive world.  A world that is strong, and healthy, a world where are children, and our children’s, children can flourish.

Here is a simple way you can start making a difference…

candle-lightSet up a working altar dedicated to the United States.  Any flat surface will do, the top of a dresser, a shelf on a book case, etc. The key to  a working altar, is that everything placed on it is done so intentionally.  No loose change, receipts, and keys unless you have a reason other than laziness for it.

Place items on the altar that represent the America you love.  Pictures, postcards, souvenirs, family pictures, soil, rocks, religious items, etc.

Place a candle on your altar.  Every day find 5 minutes to work with your altar.  Simply light your candle, stand or sit in front of your altar, and tell the genius Locus of the United States what you love about her.  Allow yourself to deeply connect with the Spirit of the country, remembering that we are inside of her energy right this very minute.  We are connected.  Tell her your dreams for her, and your hopes, speak of her strengths, and share your support for the battles she is fighting.

Blow out your candle and go about your day.  Throughout the day when you are feeling overwhelmed, scared, or unsure of the state of our nation, remember the candle, and the work you are doing.  This takes your energy away from fear, refusing to fuel hatred and fear, and gives it to that which you are working to create…love, justice, and healing.

I also encourage you to start speaking out about the reasons you love your country.  Start sharing that in conversations with friends, colleagues, and strangers.  Where patriotic ensembles if you are so drawn, do not wait for the 4th of July.  We need to remember we achieve nothing if we forget that this country belongs to us, and we belong to her.  We need to stand in support, the United States as we want her to be…healthy, strong, and kind.

Our views on what makes America great may differ.  We may hear things, see things, and interpret things different than one another, but we all want to be love.  So does the Spirit of the United States.

Please know that I hate no one.  There is no one I hate.  I refuse to waste my energy on such things. Thanks for reading folks.

STORIES OF SPIRIT…Transformation [dedication to ones self]

salicrowcavernI spent the last days of 2016 in quiet contemplation.  The period of time between the Christmas and New Years is one of my favorite, for it gives me the ability to quietly step into the shadows.   I enjoy this low media time, in which I only check my email and Facebook messages occasionally; knowing that people will understand if it takes me a bit longer to respond.  The step back from my regular routine makes me feel like I belong more to the Spirit of creation (Awen) then to the present moment of doing.

My New Years involved dinner with some of my oldest friends, buddies since elementary and high school years.  It was low key and perfect, as we had very little time for each other in 2016.  At the table we discussed what we believed our word to be for 2017.  I like the idea of one word or a phrase being a Mantra (a word or sound repeated to aid in concentration & meditation), and find it helps me to stay focused on my desired goal.

Last year I worked with surrender or the release of control.  This was a big one for me, as I have a type-A personality and really like to be in control.  By saying I chose to surrender, I am not saying that I chose to give up or give in.  My release of control was more of an act of faith, and the control I released was handed over to the power of the universe, god/goddess.  Which brought opportunity and flow into my life like never before.  By not micro managing my every action, I made room for unexpected blessings, and found that my intuition did not let me down.  I knew when I needed to act and when I needed to stay still.

As a Psychic one of the pitfalls we must avoid is looking so far into the future that you miss the small opportunities, that wait in the shadow of the big stuff.  It is easy to become so focused on the things you know must happen, that you can overlook what lies along the trail.

This year I have chosen the word dedication.  Dedication to my self, dedication to my path, dedication to my goals.  In many ways it can seem like the opposite end of the pendulum swing from surrender.  At my vantage point of spending a year working with surrender, I do not see it so.  In my experience surrender did not ask me to act against myself, instead it asked me to follow the trail that was being laid out in front of me.  It required that I have faith that a higher power did in fact have a plan for me, and that if I allowed myself the freedom of trust, I would be shown an easier way.

This aspect of surrender pairs itself nicely with dedication.  Dedication as I see from the perspective of what is to become, is the act of committing myself to my path.  I know that can seem redundant, as I  believe I have always been somewhat dedicated to my path.  But the dedication I am looking for involves focus, and setting of goals that are important.  In it lies the decision to do what needs doing, even if it is uncomfortable, untimely or boring.  Like dragging yourself to yoga class even when the weather is questionable or you would rather stay in bed another hour.  Or sitting down to write, when you would rather be playing.

I believe I needed to work with surrender before I could work with dedication.  For if I would have first worked with dedication, I would have had the tendency to be stiff, and over planned.  Now after a year of working with surrender, I understand that it is better to allow the river to carry me, then to fight the river.  I am after all here on this planet, at this time, for the adventure of life.  And as I am always saying the difference between adventure and vacation is that adventure often requires hardship.  We are sometimes hungry, tired and uncomfortable, but what a story it makes.  Vacation is relaxing, and comfortable, but the highlights seem to be missing.  I definitely choose adventure.

While some of us have manifested to have a vacation life, most of us are here to accomplish something.  The things we have come to do are not all grand on the global scale.  In fact most of us are unlikely to be known outside of our communities, let alone the world.  But that does not mean we have come in to laze around and drink mimosas.   We have work to do.

The work of self development and personal growth is potent and necessary when it comes to the well being of the soul.  When we put the time and effort into knowing ourselves, facing our demons, and pushing ourselves to be our best, we not only effect our lives but the very nature of our soul.  As a medium, I strongly believe in re-incarnation, and feel that the soul is continuously learning and growing, with each life time adding knowledge and experience to the whole.  This life time, no matter how limited it may seem, is valuable and important to the development of our soul.  We must decide who and what we want to be.  What is important to us and how much we are willing to invest in it.

Every year when New Years comes around people start thinking about the changes they want to make in their life.  Some of these changes are more difficult then others, and some of them are a bit far fetched and unreasonable.  That’s why I recommend that people really sit down and think about the change they are hoping for, and find a word or two that sums up that which we are seeking to alter.  The power of a mantra is that we can repeat it over and over and over again in our mind.  If we are choosing to loose weight in 2017, we could work with the words healthy and strong.  Whenever we are feeling weak, and want to devour an entire box of cookies, we can pull the mantra out and repeat our words 6 or 7 times until we no longer feel the overwhelming desire to turn into Cookie Monster.  The feeling of desire will come back, and when it does we pull out our words.  It helps if you take time to really think about your words, and what they mean to you.

My choice of dedication for this year, means I am putting my energy into remaining focused on my personal path.  That I will bring myself back to task when I get distracted, and that I will remember why I am doing so.  It does not mean, I will never have fun this year, or that everything needs to be planned out 6 months in advance.  It means that I am making a vow to myself to become the person I want to be.  From my vantage point, in the aftermath of surrender, I see it as a willingness to put that which is important to me in a place of honor.

New Years resolutions are meant to be a vehicle for transformation, but all too often  people forget that vehicles need fuel.  We must be clear in how we are going to fuel our transformation, what are the tools/fuel we will need along the path.  If you have always wanted to learn a foreign language, and this is the year, look into what you need to logically make it happen.  If you are not a good self learner then a teacher is necessary, if you like to do it yourself, audio recordings are the way to go.  Know what tools you need and know what words can be used to aid your development.  Remember the simpler we keep it the better.  When working with power words, I like to keep mine short and sweet.  There is much hidden meaning in the words, but in the time I need the power of the word, I know all that is hidden.  I know what that word means to me.

The need for dedication is strong with  me this year.  I need to be focused and continue to keep the flow that surrender gave to me in 2016.  I am looking forward to seeing how dedication transforms me in 2017.

Take this opportunity while the year is new, and everyone is focused on transformation, to really put in motion that which you desire to change in your life.  Be realistic, look into the support you need to achieve your goals, be forgiving as none of us are perfect, and choose a word or two to help you stay focused.  Put the words on your frig, your desk, in your mind and in your heart.  Know that you are more powerful than you imagine yourself to be, and you can make the changes you seek.

I hope you enjoyed the read folks.  2017 is just started and I am excited to see where its path leads.

Stories of Spirit…Love in Darkness [the importance of community]

salicrowcavernFear is the eater of souls. It twist our thoughts and crams us down into the pit of despair, making us selfish and greedy.  It makes us think in terms of me and my, and screams at us to fend for ourselves because no one else is going to look out for us.  Fear isolates us, separating us from any who have different opinions then we do.  If we allow ourselves to give in to fear it will consume us, licking up every last drop of our blood and tears as a sacrificial offering, given freely without constraints.

Life is full of reasons to be fearful.  We are going through a time of immense change, on an individual level, as a nation, & as a species.  We are becoming more Empathic, not just some of us, but all of us.  Even those of us who appear to be sleeping on the job, are actually going through deep change, and expansion.  To be Empathic means we pick up on the emotions of others.  This is a scary evolutionary change.  Many can not tell the difference between the emotions they are picking up from others, and their own.  They often feel overwhelmed, and try to push their emotions down in whatever way they can…drugs, food, TV, shopping, etc.  But the changes that our world faces, and that which we experience as a species, are so intense that we cannot block them out completely.  We cannot stop feeling.  The more we try, the more the volume gets turned up, until we are unable to look away.

The recent election is one that truly could have no good outcome.  I believe the protesting in the street would have just as likely happened if the outcome had been different.  Some say we are a country divided, that we are at odds with one another.  I have a different spin on things.  I see that we are a species trying desperately to wake up.  When we keep hitting the snooze button, the buzzer has to get louder and louder until we respond.  We have had unrest in our country for quite some time now, and we are reaching the point where we can no longer sleep through the alarm.  These differences we see when we look around us, are coming from a place of fear.  They are coming from the belief that there is not enough to go around, that we must look out for ourselves and ourselves alone.  This causes fear, and fear is quick to tell us how different we are, and how much we hate that guy over there that is not like us.  This fear builds until we feel chaos all around us.

“Every act in life yields pairs of opposites in its results.” Joseph Cambell

There is a belief that chaos, and uncertainty are the breeding ground of great change.  That times of destruction are closely woven with times of rebirth.  We are living such times.  As a species this change we are going through, this expansion of Psychic Consciousness, is forcing us to feel.  It is also asking us to step up to the plate and do what we can.  I believe must all do what we feel in our heart is best, if that means protesting, then pick up your sign, if that means building a bunker in the woods…have at it.  But I believe the majority of us really truly want to love and be connected to our neighbors and communities.  I believe this chaotic soup we are brewing holds the potential for great change on a communal level.

The reality of it is, most of us are more alike then not.  When we take out the psychopaths and those with dangerous mental illness, we are actually quite similar.  We all want to feel safe.  We want shelter, warmth, and food in our bellies.  This basic need is something shared by each and everyone of us.  When those things are missing our panic, fear, and frenzy go on high, everything triggers us.  The other piece we humans are searching for is companionship; family, friends, community, tribe.  Some of us need a large community, some prefer a small, but we are all looking for people who get us, who appreciate us, and will care for us.  We want to feel loved.

I encourage you to get involved in your world, not the big world, not the seen on TV version of reality, but the real world that exist within 20 minutes of your home.  Within 20 minutes of our homes we find our regular world.  The world we exist in day to day.  Here we find our grocery store, our bank,  gas station, school, and all the shops and people we run into regularly.  I have found that even those who live in metropolitan areas, still have a tendency to frequent the same places.  We do this because we are seeking community.  We want to have connections, it is part of wiring as humans.  It is also believed that we have a finite number of people we can have genuine relationships with.  Anthropologist Robert Dunbar proposed that humans can only sustain 150 personal relationships.  This is why we seek out a smaller community, even when we live in high populations.

Most of us have a community we are engaging in, even if we do not see it as so.  Those of us who are close to our family know we have them, but we often forget the clerk at the bank who we always go to, the people we run into at the coffee house, the shop owners and counter workers we see on our daily run through life, and the co workers who we gossip with on break.  These people are part of our community as well.  If their house burnt down, or they were struggling with cancer, we would donate a few bucks, bake a casserole, or send out prayers for them.

It is our choice whether we will submit to fear or embrace love.  We are free to isolate ourselves from the world, stick our heads in the sand, scream & yell, allowing ourselves to ride our raw emotions as they surface.  We are also free to choose love, compassion, community and hope.  I choose the latter.  I choose to be a beacon of love and hope for the people I come in contact with.  I will not go down like a punk, I will not throw in the towel embracing anger and fear.  I am angry, I do feel it.  I feel the injustice of the world, the hatred, the dog eat dog mentality preached at us by mainstream media, and I CHOOSE LOVE!  My anger is there, but it does not rule me.

How do I find community?

There are a lot of people who are struggling with finding community, people who reading this are saying “that’s all fine and good, but what if you have no community?” My simple answer is VOLUNTEER.  Volunteering is a powerful thing.  It connects us to other people who are generous and kind, it also gives us an opportunity to give.  There is nothing as rewarding as the feeling of giving.  To see the appreciation on the faces of those you help, makes you feel rich.  Not rich in a bank account way, but rich in character.  You can choose what kind of group you want to work with, where you want to give of your time, but volunteering in ones community makes you aware of your value in that community.  Whether you are working at a community meal site, raising money for your kids hockey team, fighting fires on the volunteer fire department, or singing to the elderly in a choral group, your effort given freely will empower you.  It will also weave fine threads, connecting you to the people you touch and those who serve beside you.

Another way to connect with community is through spirituality.  Whether you like going to church, or your beliefs are more unique, connecting with others for spiritual practice is a powerful thing.  It reminds us that we are so much more then this one incarnation, this flesh and bone existence of hardship and joy.  We are infinite, we are powerful and we are co-creators of our reality.  I have always been a spiritual person.  I love to connect with people on a deep, personal level.  I also believe that I am here on this planet, at this time because I chose to be.  Which means I knew what I was coming in for.  When you own your existence, choosing to see it is a purposeful instead of haphazard, you begin to see the responsibility you have to being the best person you can be.  Connecting with others in spiritual practice, gives strength to this belief, and empowers us.

I want each and every one of you to take a moment and think about how you can choose to be a vessel of love in this time of darkness.  Do not focus on how different you are from your neighbor.  They may have chosen a different political candidate then you, they may harbor different fears then you, but at the bottom of it all we are all seeking the same thing; a feeling of security and love for ourselves and those we care about.  There will always be the haters, but hatred is a product of fear.  Let us shed love on that and see what happens.

When I was younger I faced a lot of people who were uncomfortable with my gifts.  I still do, but seem to have become a bit more immune to it.  I chose to educate instead of hate.  I chose to be active in my community, letting them see my kindness, dedication and moral character.  When they heard I was a Witch, a Psychic, someone who talked to the Dead, they remembered my kindness, activism and dedication to my community.  This shed light on the situation, allowing them to look at those things about me that scared them, differently.  I was not able to sway the opinion of all, there are those who I am sure prefer to hate me and demonize me.  But there are many who’s opinion was changed, they became educated.  They started to see that even though I did things different then they did, I had the same desires of love, security and community as they did.

I choose to be a light in this time of darkness, shining my love beam on any and all who can see it.  I choose to stand strong, help my neighbors, and remember we are all seeking the same thing.  When someone screams out in anger, I choose to look at why they are scared, and ask if there is a way I can help them feel secure.  We can not change everyone, some will choose to remain in hatred, fear and anger.  But love is contagious, kindness is a balm for the soul, and united we can make a difference.  Thanks for reading folks.  Now go out and shine some love into your communities.

Stories of Spirit…Faith in Dying [embracing death]

cave5Death is the inevitable piece of life that we must all face.  It is part of the natural ebb & flow, something we all can count on, for there is not one among us that will escape it’s embrace.  Death is not discriminating, it does not judge.  It comes for the rich, the poor, the old, the young, the kind and the cruel.  It holds the power to break apart lives and to bring lives together.  Culture, religion, and personal experience all have influence over how we face death.  For some Death is an old friend, to be embraced when he comes a calling.  For others Death is a fearsome thing, lurking in the shadows, waiting to steal us away from all that we love.

Faith is the key to a good death.  I am not talking about religious faith, although that can be helpful.    The Faith I speak of is to trust in the process of death itself.

frozen-bubblesFaith-complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

We all know that Death awaits us, we know that like all who have walked before us, and all who walk behind us, we will die.  It is the most predictable thing we will experience on our walk upon the Earth.  Yet many of us struggle when Death brushes up next to us, we fight the inevitable, bucking and screaming like wild banshees, saying this should not happen to me.

I am not suggesting that people throw in the towel whenever illness presents itself, nor am I saying we should stop striving for life, health, and more time.  I am saying that we as a people have to become comfortable with the concept of Death, we need to have faith in the process and accept that it is natural and sound.

betweentheveilI am thankful for the advantage my life as a Medium has given to me.  I do not need to rely on faith to ensure me that there is something more waiting for me, and those I love when our time of dying approaches.  I know because I see, feel, hear, and sense those who have passed into the world of Spirit.  I know that Death is just a passage into another way of being, and that the soul remains intact.  I know that we are reunited with those we love, that our Beloved Dead will be waiting to embrace us and welcome us home.

Many people struggle with Death, unable to find solace and comfort in the last hours of their life…but still they die.  Even if I didn’t know there was something more waiting for me on the other side, I believe I would still embrace the act of dying.  I would do this because the resistance of death leaves one in turmoil when our end days comes.  If there was nothing waiting for me, I would still want the last days I had to be ones of peace and solace, instead of resistance and pain.

I have never encountered a soul that was doomed to hell, nor a soul that was banished into oblivion, nor have I been told that someone was sent to either place.  What I have experienced, what I do know, is that we all must review our lives when we pass.  If we have done a lot of things we regret, the process of review is going to take us a lot longer.  This review shows us in detail the experiences of our life, as well as how our actions effected others.  We see how we were loved, even when we didn’t feel it, and how we influenced the lives of others.

Faith in dying, allows people with long term illness to explore some of their memories before hand.  Getting our affairs in order, does not just speak of bank accounts and insurance policies.  It means we look at the way we lived.  We give thanks, we make amends, we appreciate the beauty of the life we have lived, and we love deeply those who walk the path beside us.  Faith means we surrender to the circle of life we are part of.  When we die there is no need for disappear, we simply step through the doorway into another way of being.  By surrendering to the process, we find a deep level of peace.  We start to radiate wisdom and wholeness, which allows those we leave behind to heal faster, as they know we are OK.

When Spirits talk to me of their Death, they often tell me whether they were ready or not.  They speak of what helped them to find their faith.  Old souls have a tendency to do this naturally, without struggle they know Death will be just fine.  When my Grammy Brown died, she did so by choice.  I do not mean she committed suicide, I mean she chose to let go.

She had been ill for a long time, and she was at the point where my family could no longer take care of her at home.  She was determined that she would not go to a nursing home.  She did not fight the family, she simply said she would not go.  The night before she was to be transferred from the hospital to an assisted care home, she died.  She did this because she was ready, and she had faith in the afterlife.  She knew she would be fine, and she simply surrendered.

Many people linger in the act of dying, and they do so for various reasons.  Some stay for the family who struggle with their passing, some have unfinished business that rattles off through their minds.  Others linger because they are no longer in control of their facilities, such as people with Dementia, and Alzheimers.  But the majority of people who linger on in deep illness, are doing so out of fear.  They fear the unknown, worrying what awaits them when they leave their body.

We must find faith in the process that has been going on since the beginning.  Death is the most natural thing in life, and it happens to us all.  Whether you are facing your own Death as you read this, or have a loved one struggling with theirs, know that there is a choice in how we face it.  We can face our passing with dignity, strength, and courage, surrendering to that which will not be denied, and we can help those we love to do the same thing.

Ask these questions in the time of dying.  “What do you still need to accomplish?” “What unfinished work do you have?” “How can you feel complete?”.

I spend a fair amount of time counseling those who are in the process of dying, and one thing I know for sure is that it needs to be talked about.  Often when someone is dealing with terminal illness people avoid speaking of Death.  They do so out of fear, fear that Death will come quicker if he hears his name called, fear that the dying will be hurt by your questions, fear that you are giving up.  This has to be overcome.  We need to start speaking of Death and finding solace and faith in the fact that it is the most natural thing around.

Our culture is obsessed with youth and beauty, and has chosen to turn its face on anything old, fading, and unpleasant.  This obsession has made it harder for people to face Death, seeing it as something foreign and fearsome.  We need to remember the teachings of our Ancestors, the natural way in which Death has been experienced and held sacred throughout time.  We are living in a time of great change and we are the ones we have been waiting for.  We have the power to bring dignity and beauty back into dying, so that those who come after us will have no longer fear that which cannot be escaped.

I hope you enjoyed the read folks, and that this is helpful to all those facing Death.  Remember it is beautiful, sacred, and powerful.

Stories of Spirit…The Betwixt & Between [guidance from the ancestors]

familyalterAs a Medium, communication with the dead is a normal thing for me.  I spend many hours, every week in conversation with people who have crossed over.  Most of the time, I am helping the living find closure and re-connection after the death of a loved one.  I find this to be highly rewarding, and feel proud of the work that I do.  Occasionally, I am given the opportunity to take the communication a step further, out of the place of healing and into the place of growth.

This weekend, under the bright full moon my sister and I held our annual, ancestor honoring event ‘The Betwixt & Between’.   We have done it for many years and always look forward to it.  It has always been focused on honoring our Beloved Dead (family, friends, ancestors and guides), and includes direction for setting up an Ancestor altar, techniques for expanding your awareness; for personal experience with Spirit, and messages from the dead, passed on by me.  In the past the Dead we were reaching out to were coming forward to bring love and healing to their living, and it was in many ways like my Gallery Spirit communication.  This year we changed it up a bit.

Upon looking at the guest list, I was aware that the majority of people who were attending this year were people with a more advanced skill level in the area of spirit.  I saw this as an opportunity to do something extraordinary.  So instead of this being a time for people to hear from their dead grandmother; about how much she loved them and things they enjoyed doing together, it became a place of learning.  I wanted to model the traditional reasons why tribal society chose to communicate with their dead.  In most cases this was done for advice, particularly in times of great need.  People would gather in solemn respect for their Ancestors and humbly ask for direction.

21 of us gathered at Blissful Dragon Farm, in Waterford, VT.  When people arrived they were asked to walk the labyrinth to center themselves for the work at hand, and invited to tie a ribbon to the cloutie tree (prayer tree).  When the fire was ready, everyone walked through burning incense into Dragon’s Teeth Circle; the last stone circle created by Ivan McBeth this autumn, before his passing.  As each person was anointed with sacred oils, they were asked to find the stone that called to them, the place they were to set up their personal altars.

With the altars set, chairs were brought into the center of the circle close to the fire.  The stones and the family altars created a strong boundary around the participants.  By this time, people were starting to feel the energy of the space, and that of their ancestors gathering close.  We did spiritual journey work, so that everyone could reach out to their loved ones, and then showed them how the spirits were moving in on the mist.  The area inside the circle became thick with the closest ancestors and beloved dead, and the area outside the circle was filled with the many, many spirits that had shown up to hold space and be acknowledged.

The messages past were powerful.  I always feel honored, when I have the opportunity to speak for the Wisdom Keepers, who are in spirit.  Even though the messages were delivered to individuals, the wisdom was beneficial for all.  One of the first Spirits to speak was a recently departed mother.  She had made many mistakes in her life, and had a lot of struggle.  Her message was of forgiveness.  She spoke of the need for forgiveness in our world, and how often the best teachers are the ones that need the most forgiveness.  The ones who are unable to change.  I found this to be quite profound, as I have been a bit obsessed with the idea of Radical Forgiveness, lately.

Radical Forgiveness is the act of forgiving without expectation.  When it comes to forgiveness most people find themselves using the word but, a lot.  They say “I forgive you, but…”.  This is not true forgiveness.  True forgiveness comes with nothing attached, and we give it not only for the benefit of the one needing forgiveness, but for ourselves as well.  For through forgiveness, we can break the karmic chains that keep pulling us back to the same lesson over and over again.  Radical Forgiveness does not ask us to forget, or to give consent for the actions that caused the wrong, it simply asks us to let go, move on, and stop dwelling on the wrongs done.  When we hold onto such things we keep everyone involved, wound up tight in a knot of pain.

Another of the powerful bits of wisdom passed on from the Ancestors was around death itself.  The Spirit that came through was a representative of the wounded soldier.  He was a military man in life, and spoke of the healing needed when one has lived a life of war.  He said that sometimes when the body gets old, and the physical wounds endured in youth become overwhelming, all we can do is prepare for death.  He did not speak as poetically as I am speaking right now.  He was matter of fact, and to the point.  His lesson was not about giving up on life, but about facing your demons and preparing for your passage into spirit.  I found this to be a potent lesson, as my father had done just what he spoke of.  My dad was a Vietnam Vet, who spent the last 2 years of his life finding a deep spiritual practice.  He found forgiveness for himself, and a new purpose in those last years, and was ready when his time came to enter the spirit world.  Preparing for death, does not mean your death is around the corner, it means you will be ready when that time comes.  When someone has been to war, and seen and done things they regret, their soul needs to find peace.  If we do not do this in life, then that is what we will be facing when we cross over.

Two different spirits came through to talk about anger, and love.  They spoke from different perspectives on the need to let go of anger and how nothing good comes out of it.  Anger directed at another person, seldom changes them, instead it changes the one holding the anger.  We spend our days filled with this energy, and it transforms our view of life, showing us more that we can be angry with.  But again, how is that helpful, how many of you jump right up and do something for someone who is directing anger and hatred in your direction?  How do you feel when you hold such emotions?  Transforming anger into love is potent.  If you look at it from the terms of quantum theory/what we think, we create.  I know I want more love in my life and less anger.

ivandragonteethThere were many powerful messages passed, and I walked away feeling truly blessed by the experience.  The last to speak that night was my friend, Ivan McBeth, the Druid who built the stone circle we sat in.  He was so ecstatic to be there, and almost everyone present could see him clearly.  His energy was huge, and his message was sweet and beautiful.  He spoke of remembering how powerful we are.  He reminded everyone present that when we focus on the darkness we will find it in plenty, but when we focus on the light and the beautiful, kind things we are capable of, we can manifest that as well.

I believe we all chose to come in at this moment in time.  It certainly is a chaotic one, with many things to fear if we focus our lens that way.  But I also believe that this is a time of great change, which makes it a powerful time of healing.  I know I chose to be here, and that I will continue to choose to be present spreading love wherever I go.  I was deeply touched by the evenings events and thankful for the many spirits who stepped forward to share their knowledge and guidance with us.  I hope you enjoyed the read.
